TO KADANT UK IN OTLEY
IGS and the Design & Technology department have received a generous gift from Kadant UK Limited,Otley. They have donated an A0 plotter!
This plotter provides a fantastic opportunity to print A2, A1 or A0 technical drawings for our students in Engineering Design, D&T and A-level Product Design. Every bespoke design drawn in OnShape can be produced in a series of larger scale manufacturing drawings, which will improve their accuracy in manufacture, but also their experience of the design to manufacture process.
Alongside this our D&T Textiles and Fashion & Textiles pupils can now print full sized patterns to support accurate production of their bespoke toiles and garments.
For all our students this provides an industry standard process to maximise their learning and preparation for their next steps.
