Year 12 Cranedale Geography Residential
Departs: Thursday 6th February 2020
Returns: Friday 7th February 2020
The Cranedale trip involves a two day residential in North Yorkshire that prepares students for the practical element of their AS/ A-Level Geography.
We spend one day in Dalby Forest investigating the water and carbon cycles and another day at Flamborough Head looking at coastal environments.
Students complete a range of practical techniques to collect primary data as well as how to complete an inquiry (similar to a university dissertation). Students who study the full A-level complete a 4,000 word independent investigation in Year 13 on a topic of their choice and this provides ideal preparation for this. Students completing the AS exam at the end of Year 12 will answer questions on the fieldwork completed.< Back to all events
