We Are All Eco iLeaders!

Poster Competition

1ST PLACE Katie W Last month in the run up to Christmas we held a poster competition with the first prize being a £40 One4all voucher!

All entries gained 5 eco points towards earning a day trip out during the summer term.

We would like to extend a big thank you to the 68 students who entered. We loved looking at their brilliant posters. Many entries featured catchy slogans and lots of interesting facts about why we need to refill our water bottles instead of buying new ones every day. It really was very hard to make a decision.

The winners were:

1st prize: KATIE WILKINSON
2nd prize: Evie Harding
3rd prize: Olive McCallion

Runners up: Claudia Lewis, Lolah Cochrane, Rosie James and Elizabeth Mays

All those named above were awarded 20 extra Eco Points for their amazing efforts. Congratulations to you all!

All the wining posters are displayed at school on the B Hall stairwell. The top three posters are also placed above each water station around the school site.

We hope they will encourage everyone to refill their water bottles whenever they see them.

About our trust

Moorlands Learning Trust (MLT) was formed on July 1st 2017, when Ilkley Grammar School converted its single academy trust to multi-academy trust (MAT) status. The Skipton Academy joined in 2019 as our first partner academy, and during 2023/24 we welcomed Ashlands Primary, Burley Oaks Primary, Eastburn Primary, Menston Primary and Nidderdale High School. In 2025, Benton Park School became the first secondary school in Leeds to join the Trust and in the same year, Talbot Primary School joined the Trust as the first primary school from Leeds.
