ALUMNI AND SUPPORTERS OF IGS
If you are a former student, member of staff, parent or guardian of Ilkley Grammar School, then we would like to hear from you!
Our aim is to see our students supported by a thriving and engaged alumni community, willing to share their experiences and skills leading to improvements in student motivation, confidence and life chances.
We would like our young people to have access to supporters with a wide range of experiences keen to promote an understanding of what they can achieve and what they need to do to succeed in the career they aspire to.
IGS alumni act as role models that students can relate to, showing students a world beyond, yet connected to, their current experience and aspirations. Alumni motivate and inspire students about futures that could be theirs.
Each year we run a wide range of events where current students can meet Alumni and supporters of IGS to improve their knowledge of our fast-changing workplace.
Any commitment to support us is hugely appreciated and we can be very flexible. You can choose how and when you help, and you do not need to live locally as we have a number of virtual opportunities.
You could support us by:
-
Being a career and education role model
-
Providing work experience opportunities
-
Conducting mock interviews
-
Delivering presentations (live or pre-recorded)
-
Being a mentor in person or online
-
Helping with donations or fundraising
-
Applying to become a governor
