ALUMNI AND SUPPORTERS OF IGS
If you are either a former student, member of staff, parent or guardian of Ilkley Grammar School, then we would like to hear from you!
Our aim is to see our students supported by a thriving and engaged alumni community, sharing their experiences which improves student motivation, confidence and life chances.
We would like our young people to have access to a wide range of experiences to promote an understanding of what they can achieve and what they need to do to reach and succeed in the career they aspire to.
Alumni at IGS can act as these relatable role models, showing students a world beyond their current experience and expectations: motivated and inspired about a future that could be theirs.
This year we will be running a wide range of events where current students can meet Alumni supporters of IGS to improve their knowledge of our fast-changing workplace. Any commitment to support us is very flexible, you can choose how and when you help and you do not need to live locally as we have a number of virtual opportunities.
You could support us by:
- A career and education role model
- Providing work experience
- Mock interviews
- Presentations (live or pre-recorded)
- A mentor in person or online
- Help with donations or fundraising
- Applying to become a governor
