HEADTEACHER'S AWARD

Congratulations to Stanley FD (Y7) Ella P (Y8), Isabelle N (Y9), Annabelle C (Y10), Teddy NC (Y11), Jake N, Zac J, Owen A, Otis B, Oscar S, Maiya G, Xanthe G & Joel J (Ys12&13) for receiving the Headteachers Award.

Weeks commencing 3rd November.

Stanley is a fantastic member of Year 7 – he is always happy, friendly and polite!

Ella has a fantastic attitude to school and is always Kind and Respectful!

Isabelle had a fantastic day doing some work experience in London about ‘Being a woman in Politics’ and even got to interview a local MP!

Annabelle has made a fantastic start to KS4, working super hard in all subjects and being a brilliant student!

Teddy goes above and beyond to be an exceptional IGS student, embodying all our PRIDE values!

Jake, Zac, Owen, Otis and Oscar gave a phenomenal performance and qualified for the Regional Championships in the Cross Country! Well done!

Maiya, Xanthe and Joes have prepared and delivered some fantastic assemblies for Black History Month!  The whole school have thoroughly enjoyed them!

Congratulations to Amber HD (Y7) Ruben P (Y8), Nathan W (Y9), Marcie F & Katie S (Y10), Kara D (Y11), Bethan H (Y12) and Aoife H, Eve M & Millie W (Y13) for receiving the Headteachers Award.

Weeks commencing 13th & 20th October.

Amber has made a fantastic start to Year 7 showing great Resilience.  She upholds our values every day!

Ruben is always Kind and respectful.  He has a fantastic attendance record and is a brilliant example of an IGS student!

Nathan has gone above and beyond to support others by sharing the proceeds of his extraordinary wildlife photos with the RSPB!

Marcie and Katie have shown Kindness, thoughtfulness and compassion whilst supporting others.

Kara has been making huge efforts this term and all aspects of school life – her Head of Year is very proud!

Bethany worked super hard to achieve a ‘Distinction’ in the Maths Olympiad for Girls, we are extremely proud of her achievement!

Aiofe, Eve and Millie had a Psychology article published in the October edition of ATP Today, an international magazine for the Association for the Teachers of Psychology!

Congratulations to Charlie M (Y7) Max B (Y8), Rufus S (Y9), Noah S (Y10), William L (Y11), Rachel D (Y12) and Heidi D (Y13) for receiving the Headteachers Award.

Week commencing 6th October.

Charlie has embraced IGS fantastically and has shown great Resilience – always with a huge smile on his face!

Max is a fabulous student who always excels in extracurricular activities but also in his efforts and his Commitment to Learning!

Rufus has shown great Kindness and Responsibility in coming to the aid of a member of staff in need!

Noah has been making great progress across all his lessons and always shows 100% Commitment to Learning!

William has recently been selected to participate in a National Figure Skating event! Well done William!

Rachel has been awarded for her outstanding contributions across the school, including the school production and exceptional work in English Language!

Heidi has been making significant improvements to her Commitment to Learning and her Academic Progress – keep up the good work Heidi!

Hannah represented IGS on Open Day and Evening and was an exemplary guide – well done Hannah!

Seb has helped a new student settle into school giving a fantastic first impression.  He always has a big smile on his face and is always Kind to others!

Ted has shown great Courage and Responsibility by looking out for others and ‘doing the right thing’ !

Joe has made clear and significant improvements to his punctuality and his Commitment to Learning!

Aahad has set up the Law Society and really embraced leadership skills and qualities in doing so!

Isaac has been formally appointed to the newly formed role of St Johns Assembly Member – congratulations Isaac!

Carolan has made great waves with her work and has thrown herself into life at IGS – her Head of Year says she is an ‘absolute super star’ !

Katie is a fantastic example for Y8, she has 100% attendance and gains more achievement points every day.  A fantastic start to the year!

Ethan has made a fantastic start to Y9, he is always well engaged in all lessons and is always polite and well mannered!

Minnie has shown how Responsible and Resilient she is with her superb work ethic and approach to learning!

Izzy was Player of the Match at the U19 girls victory in the first round of the Sisters n Sport National Shield!

Will & Daisy are our fantastic Head Students, they contribute hugely to the wider school community, lead of information evenings and deliver fantastic assemblies to younger school!

Olly & Sadie showed Courage, Pride and Responsibility by standing up and doing a fantastic speech at the IGS Open Evening!

Isla & Anya showed Courage, Pride and Responsibility by delivering an exceptional singing performance at the IGS Open Evening!

Alice, Anya, Millie, Isabelle, Mahalia, Nick, Benji, Jeff, Dougie, Francis, Katie, Julietta, Abbie, Lydia, Rachel, Jem & Dylan showed Courage, Pride and Responsibility with their sensational performance with the Senior Chamber Group at the IGS Open Evening!

Congratulations to Autumn L & Willow B (Y7), Amelia L, Charlotte P & Harriet C (Y8), Sid C (Y9), Ben P (Y11), Suki H (Y12), George B (Y13) for receiving the Headteachers Award.

Autumn & Amelia have made brilliant starts to Year 7 both displaying all our school values and being excellent role models to others!

Amelia was extremely Responsible and Courageous jumping into action to help a staff member in need!

Charlotte and Harriet were 2 of the trio that won the Northern Road Relay Championships – well done girls!

Sid has made a fantastic first impression to some of our new Year 7’s, showing great kindness in helping them settle into IGS!

Ben has made a fantastic start to Year 11 and is excelling in all aspects.  His teachers are extremely impressed with Ben’s focus and ambition this year!

Suki has received the most Post 16 achievement points so far this year and always shows great focus in lessons and around school!

George has made a brilliant start into Year 13 – making many laugh along the way with his excellent sense of humour!

Tim has made a super start to Year 7! He is proving to be extremely Resilient and is always happy and cheerful!

Simrah demonstrates the IGS values every day, she is always polite, Kind and Respectful!

Immy has been extremely welcoming and helpful with our new Year 7’s, she has made a super first impression for IGS!

Bill has proven to be extremely Kind and Responsible in coming to the aid of someone in need!

Freya & Nina have been very Responsible citizens helping out in a first aid emergency – well done girls!

Con acted quickly and Responsibly alerting the emergency services to a potentially dangerous situation in the community!

Maddie, Sophie & Bethan have made extremely strong starts at IGS after arriving from external schools.  They have shown real Courage and positivity around school!

Simran has made an excellent start to year 13 – with a clear academic focus and outstanding Commitment to Learning!
