Ilkley Foodbank Donation Drive

The IGS community once again humbled us with their generosity and compassion through their incredible support of the Ilkley Foodbank donation drive.

Staff and students contributed three car fulls of essential supplies that the foodbank had identified as being in short supply.

Students from 9LIR and 10MTH assisted in the sorting of the donations to ease the sorting process at the foodbank itself- see picture for some efficient sorters! We filled almost every table in Armitage Cafe with donations. Volunteers at the Ilkley Foodbank shared their gratitude for the kindness of the IGS school community and said that these donations will help see local Ilkley families through a tough winter. Thank you once again for your support of this important local service.

On the back of this donation drive, some IGS students visited the food bank and have even offered to volunteer their time. We are incredibly proud of their kindness and self-motivated support. Our future is in safe hand with such wonderful young people in our community!
