IGS Ball Crew

Over the past week, The Lexus Ilkley Trophy, a world-class tennis tournament, has been held on the grass courts at the Ilkley Lawn Tennis and Squash Club. It features both the ATP Challenger and ITF women’s events and is considered one of the highlights of the summer grass court season.
We are delighted to be able to support such a prestigious event with 86 IGS students being given the opportunity to be a member of the ball crew. They represented themselves and the school brilliantly and we are really proud of their commitment, resilience and the hours they have invested in supporting one of the biggest local events of the year.
A huge well done and thank you to all of the crew and thank you to the tennis club for giving them the opportunity.
Simon Ickringill Retires
Simon Ickringill who is the Head Tennis Coach at Ilkley Tennis Club retires this year. IGS would like to thank him personally for all the hard work and opportunities he has given our students in both tennis and ball crew training and supervision over the last 10 years plus.
He has been a real inspiration and we wish him all the very best in his retirement.
