TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD WINNER!

Huge congratulations to Mr Ewbank who won the Secondary School Teacher of the Year Award at the Telegraph & Argus Bradford & District Education Awards on the penultimate day of term.

Adam was our first remote appointment during the very first lockdown and, like all of our ECTs, has coped brilliantly with the demands of the pandemic and the rigour of the Early Career framework. 

As well as establishing himself as a talented and committed teacher, what has also been particularly impressive is that, from the outset, Adam has taken on additional responsibility running the Primary Sports’ League for our main feeder primaries and our primary headteachers have commented on his enthusiasm, professionalism, flexibility and strong organisational skills. His confidence, enthusiasm, knowledge and close working with our primaries has meant he is a great ambassador for IGS and we are very proud that he won this award.
