WELCOME BACK!
Welcome back to a new academic year at Ilkley Grammar School! I hope your children are settling back into school after the long Summer break.
After a tough last 18 months, we are hopeful that our usual calendar of events will be able to run as normal during this academic year. For example, we plan to run a Wine Tasting evening later this year, plus Quiz & Curry night, Auction of Promises, Car Boot Sales and an inaugural Colour Run event during 2022. We hope that you will feel able to support these events in whatever way you can. All funds raised will go to enhance the enrichment and education of all students within school, supporting a range of projects that the school would otherwise struggle to fund within existing budgets.
I’d like to draw your attention to our Colour Run event in particular...
Organising such an event requires investment to purchase all sorts of things from running route tape to balloon arches and paint cannons. We would welcome donations of any size and we are inviting corporate and individual sponsorship to help us to create a fantastic event experience for all involved. We are planning for a capacity of just over 300 runners and a total of 500 people on-site throughout the event. There will be plenty of opportunity to raise awareness of your business in our pre-event marketing, social media presence throughout the year and in the event village and along the running route. All our sponsors will be listed in our event information sent to our participants in their online race packs. Please contact us at PTA@ilkleygs.co.uk for more information or to offer sponsorship.
