FASHION & TEXTILES
All pupils study Textiles in our bright and airy textiles rooms in year 7 & 8. Pupils are introduced to hand sewing techniques and the sewing machines building their skills and knowledge through a series of practical projects.
Pupils can choose textiles from the technology options within year 9. These support the subsequent GCSE D&T course which are delivered by our material specialist teachers with a focus of Textiles, Electronics or Resistant Materials. This GCSE then provides a fantastic base to study Fashion and Textiles at A-level.
