Key Stage 4 Curriculum
In Years 10 and 11, all students study the compulsory core subjects leading to 5 GCSE qualifications in English Language, English Literature, Mathematics and Science (either Trilogy Combined Science or Separate Science); Core PE and CSI (Concepts, Society and Ideology) are not accredited.
Careers and enterprise education are used to support work experience placements for all students; all students also receive independent careers advice and take part in a mock interview process.
In addition to the 5 Core GCSEs, students are then able to choose an additional four GCSEs and other courses to make up their full timetable for Years 10 and 11. We offer a broad spectrum of academic and creative GCSE courses, as well as a growing number of technical courses including BTEC qualifications in Health and Social Care and Travel and Tourism; a very small number of students also access Level 1 technical courses one afternoon per week at Keighley College.
